What is a ring of promise?

Nothing is more important than a promise. It is easy to say the words, but when you say, a promise is equivalent to be like an iron clad contract. Promise rings are not as traditional as the engagement rings, they can still mean so much. A promise ring is given as a symbol of promise offered and made between two people. There may be many opportunities, platonic or romantic, but they are always given with the greatest sincerity.

In General, a promise ring is given as a large ring. Sometimes, you are sure that this person is right for you, but are not quite ready for commitment. It is an excellent opportunity to give a promise ring. It expresses a similar commitment to an engagement ring without all the links that come with being hired.

Promise rings can also be given to abstinence, as a symbol of a parent that their child will remain sexually pure until marriage. They can also be used instead of an engagement ring or wedding ring. Not everyone feels the need to marry, but can still be the exchange of rings symbolize commitment and monogamy.

The idea of promise rings may seem new age, they have actually been around a long time. Mythology and sacred texts have told us that the rings were used to seal the promise for a long time. For example, the bishops would wear rings as a promise of their spirituality to God.

The expression "promise ring" is relatively new, but the concept still dates back several centuries. In Europe in the 16th and 17th centuries, it was very popular and common to exchange rings in a vow of friendship or love. The symbolic nature of a circle representing eternity and a kind of metal symbolizing the strength of the relationship were always popular means people have shown their love for one another.

Another type of ring in the old days current was a "mixed ring". It was often rings engraved with a sincere feeling or promise when given to a dear friend or lover. A typical loving phrase, read, "" you and no other."" In English, this means "You and no other."

There is no rule which says on what you fingerprints must wear a promise ring. Part of his appeal, is that it can mean many things to many people. Typically, many tend to focus on their finger ring, the third finger of the left hand. This is most common when the ring is given as a large ring or a ring of chastity. That being said, many feel more comfortable on their right ring finger, so it not to be confused with an engagement ring.

Promise rings is a wonderful way to show your promise to love and take care of them, or even a promise to refrain from certain harmful activities in life. They can serve as much if not more than one ring of engagement and will cost less because they generally do involve lots of jewelry.
